Jill Scott becomes the first Footie Chick North West Female Player of the Year!

At a star studded event at Manchester’s Midland Hotel last night the football elite from the North West gathered to honour clubs and players from the North West.  TV football pundits Mark Lawrenson and Ray Stubbs did their double act introducing the contenders and winners in eighteen different categories.  The guests included football heroes such as Sir Bobby Charlton and Ian Rush, and the legendary Sir Tom Finney, now in his 80s, was there to collect a lifetime contribution award.

But the highlight if the night was the female player award.  This was the first time it had been presented, and was justifiably won by Jill Scott for her fantastic contribution to Everton and England over the last year.  Like the true professional she is, Jill thanked her team mates and the club for their help, support and team work in the year.  Well done Jill!
